Located in the heart of Hinterglemm, the "Snow and Fun" ski school invites adults and children to take lessons and offers the following services:
- Ski and snowboard lessons;
- Separate area for children;
- Private lessons;
- Equipment hire;
- Organised ski trips with professional guides;
- Special activities for the disabled;
- Ski passes.
In 2010-2011 the school won a gold medal and was voted best ski school by Skiareatest. The school's pride and joy is the huge Snowly Land learning and play area, where children learn to ski in an easy and relaxed way. Two conveyor belts, arches, flags, soft structures, animal figures and Snowly the Snowman, the main host of the playground, make the area look like a fairytale town.
All students receive free helmets for safety during the course. The Mini Snowly course (half day, in small groups) is designed for little ski heroes from the age of 3, who are gradually introduced to skiing by highly qualified instructors. The instructors don't want to overtax the little ones, but at the same time show them how great winter can be. Skiing, games in SnowlyLand, lots of play equipment and, of course, fun in the snow are the ingredients for an unforgettable Snowly day.
A full day ski course is available for children aged 4 and over for beginners and advanced skiers. It's also possible to have your children supervised by a ski instructor during the lunch break. Children who are more confident on skis are taught on the easy slopes of Hinterglemm, where they are picked up and dropped off by a colourful steam train.
Every Tuesday from 15:00 to 16:00 there is a children's party at Snowly Land with games and fun surprises. You can buy souvenirs with the Snow and Fun logo (hats, scarves, scarves, mittens, music CDs, a mascot toy) in the Snowly Land gift shop from Sunday to Tuesday (9:00-11:00) to keep in memory your lessons.
Snowboarding lessons are also available for children over the age of 8. Steep turns in the snow, a leisurely descent and a few tricks to impress those around you — this is the dream of many children. Snow & fun ski school will help you make this dream come true. But not only beginners are in the safe hands of the snowboard instructors. Experienced snowboarders are encouraged to learn one or two jumps or tricks on the piste, and advice from the pros is always the best.
