Rabatzz Play Centre

Rabatzz Play Centre

Germany, Hamburg

What do children like best? There's no short answer, because they love going down slides, jumping on trampolines, walking on stilts, playing football and basketball, shooting the puck in air hockey, running races, looking at themselves in crooked mirrors, hitting moles in arcades, riding merry-go-rounds, pony rides... You can do all this and more at Rabatzz, the giant indoor play centre in Hamburg.

Rabatzz is the largest amusement centre in Hamburg and has over two dozen play areas with rides, swings, vending machines and all kinds of fun equipment. You can make a lot of noise, run, scream and jump to the ceiling. And not just for children, but for adults too. So the whole family can have fun at Rabatzz.

Areas and Attractions

The play centre has several separate areas and many different rides and machines. Some areas have age and weight restrictions, but most are open to all visitors.

  1. Lilliputzz. There is a separate supervised area for crawling children up to the age of 4, with age-appropriate games, a soft play ball pool, a mini merry-go-round and other fun activities for the little ones.
  2. Beatzz! This is a unique Rabatzz proprietary invention that creates the atmosphere of a beehive. Visitors attach to their hands and feet green mini torches thereby evoke the sound of "biiitzzzzz!". The more participants, the more intense the buzzing.
  3. Monzzter. Here you can test your reaction time by having your guests press the bulbs that light up. You have to be quick because the game is timed.
  4. Slides. The roller coaster and the four-lane slide, which is 7 m high and 32 m long, will appeal to children and their parents alike. The feeling of flying captures everyone, regardless of age.
  5. The Labyrinth. The net labyrinth spans four floors, is 7 metres high to the roof and covers an area of 300m2. What could be more fun than filling a volcano with balls and watching it erupt, or even being showered with them! You'll also have to dodge the soft balls fired by the automated shooters. There are other challenges in this area, such as flying over a 'swamp' on a zip line, or sliding down a chasm.
  6. Formula Karting. An area where you can have a real car or motorbike race.

  1. Trampoline XXL. Six large trampolines separated by nets create a huge space for jumping. In addition, the light system of this area records the duration of the flight, allowing children to compete against each other or to improve their own skills with each new flight.
  2. Power Aqua. The water area, which is an 80 m2 artificial pond where children can go boating. It is advisable to bring spare clothes, as force majeure in the form of an unexpected dive is commonplace at Power Aqua.
  3. Teufelzz. The children have to keep their balance on a fast spinning disc.
  4. Wooden horses and rodeo. Once the spinning wheel is mastered, try to tame the unruly wooden Rabatzz horses or the stroppy steer at the rodeo.
  5. Twin Falls. A steep 7m high double freefall slide guarantees an incredible adrenaline rush for any daredevil who ventures down it.
  6. The Schatzzturm Treasure Tower. It is recommended to train your climbing technique and dexterity here. Climb the intricate labyrinth, ascend the high tower, descend the slides and tunnels and find valuable treasure at the same time. The Schatzzturm tower is the tallest elastic-belt climbing tower in Germany: it is 8 metres high and the tower itself is divided into 10 levels of ascent.
  7. Football pitch. The football pitch is fenced off with nets, so there's no need to be afraid of becoming a live target for the young players.
  8. SkyTrail rope course. The course has three levels of different heights — 30 cm, 3 m and 6.5 m. The rope course has an additional charge. SkyTrail is not open to everyone, but only those visitors whose height is at least 1.3 m.
  9. An area of soft building blocks. To sharpen your architectural skills, throw blocks at each other, have a pillow fight — it's all available in the play area.
  10. Lego zone. The Lego Zone is an area with hundreds of thousands of parts for building castles and houses, fairytale lands and fantasy cities.
  11. A bouncy castle. A more interesting counterpart to trampolines with punching bags, extra high walls, all sorts of climbing and rolling.

Rabatzz has bowling and arcade machines (air hockey, table football and more), a massage chair for relaxation and a catapult seat that won't fail to make you laugh. Access to some of the locations and attractions is not included in the price of the ticket, and visitors to the Play Centre must buy tokens separately.

  • Free bowling.

Entertainment, helium balloons for each guest, figurine balloons, personalised invitations and additional treats (crisps, ice cream, fruit platter, etc.) are only available for the most expensive party class — Deluxe.

Themed parties are also available. Children will love a pirate treasure hunt or a football match. And for those who love to dance, the centre staff will organise a real limbo festival.

Rabatzz regularly organises overnight stays for young guests aged 5 to 10. The children arrive at 7.30 pm and stay until dawn. The pajama party guests can party and run around all night. A delicious breakfast in the morning followed by a visit from parents at 9am.

There's a food court on site. The bistro offers a range of delicious hot and cold dishes including pizzas, pasta, nuggets and burgers, as well as a variety of drinks, ice creams, coffee specialities, pastries and snacks at reasonable prices. The menu also includes organic and vegetarian dishes and drinks. As well as food, there are newspapers and magazines for adults and free Wi-Fi.

There are several toilets in the play centre, including disabled toilets. All sanitary facilities have changing tables and special containers for used nappies.

Rabatzz has over 400 lockers for storing personal belongings. Keys can be obtained at reception or at the information desk for a deposit of €10.

Children under the age of 8 must be accompanied by an adult in the play area. Visitors over this age are allowed to play alone, but the management is not responsible for them. Parents should leave their telephone number in case of emergency.

Useful information for visitors

  • The ticket is valid for four hours. If you stay longer, you'll have to pay for the extra time.
  • If you come to the play centre in your own car, you can leave it in the local car park. Parking is free for visitors to the play centre.
  • You can save on your ticket if you visit the centre during Happy Hours, which are from 17:00 to 19:00 every day.
  • It is better to book tickets online than to buy them at the ticket office. The Play Centre is very popular, so it is often very busy. Booking in advance is a guarantee that you will get into Rabatzz.
  • Vouchers can be bought on the Play Centre's website and make a great holiday gift.
  • Discounts are available for children under 3 and senior citizens.
  • Bring cash when you visit Rabatzz — the centre doesn't accept credit cards.
  • Remember to bring socks or gym shoes as shoes are not allowed. If you forget to bring socks, don't worry - you can buy them on the spot.
  • You should wear appropriate clothing for a high-speed ride, such as tracksuit bottoms or leggings. In general, it is best to wear comfortable clothing that does not restrict your movement.
  • Do not bring snacks as you are not allowed to eat or drink in the play area. The only food you are allowed to bring is baby food, which you can heat up in the microwave.
  • Adults wishing to play with their children should be aware that some attractions have weight restrictions. In general, however, the management only welcomes parents and children having fun together.
  • Adult smokers should take their smoke breaks outside as smoking is strictly prohibited and offenders will be asked to leave Rabatzz.
  • If you have bought a lot of tokens and have not used them all in one visit, you can save them and use on your next visit.
