The southern part of the Costa Blanca is not distinguished by lush vegetation. A corner of greenery, which also houses a zoo and a water park, is the amusement park "Terra Natura" in Murcia. Here, zebras and giraffes graze in spacious meadows, lemurs walk along the alleys with visitors, and parrots and sea lions perform impressive circus acts. It is a place where children can safely experience wildlife.
The tiny territory of the park is divided into two parts — the Iberian Peninsula and the African savannah. Without any open-air cages, animals of 50 species roam here (but you should not be afraid; invisible to the eye barriers still exclude the contact of animals with humans). You can also see typical African landscapes, savannah plants and even a small copy of the Mara River, which flows through Kenya.
Terra Natura Park hosts several shows every day. One involves birds of prey, sometimes demonstrating a swift flight, sometimes hovering motionless in height. In another, sea lions shine with talents. The third, exotic birds and reptiles allow you to admire their beauty. Twice a week, visitors can observe the nightlife of animals. The 2-hour Night Safari tour begins at nightfall.
Aquapark "Terra Natura Murcia" is also small but has everything you need for fun:
- Five different slopes
- "Lazy River"
- Three pools for adults and children
- A children's play area
The water park feature is a pool with sea lions, where you can swim for an additional fee.
Another park Terra Natura is located in Benidorm. If you have a family trip to Costa Blanca, you can choose a park near your holiday destination.
