Jungle Park

Jungle Park

Spain, Arona

In 1995, a park called "The Eagles of Teide Volcano" appeared among the attractions of Tenerife. It later changed its name to "Eagle Park", now known as "Jungle Park". This is because the exhibition of birds of prey has, over time, evolved into an entire zoo displaying 100 species of animals and birds. An area of over 7 hectares of artificial jungle, populated by funny and menacing inhabitants, it's a good place for a family excursion.

Eagles remain the principal birds of Jungle Park Tenerife. During the show, these free-spirited birds will demonstrate their sight, agility and ability to communicate with people. Let them crouch beside you, and you can look closer at their plumage, beak and paws. And when the bird flies off, you'll get a taste of what a good fan feels like.

The participants of another show "Jungle Park Tenerife" are exotic birds. Among them are colourful parrots, toucans, and hornbills. All of them lend themselves well to training and can perform various funny tricks.

Not all birds participate in the performance. You will see hawks, vultures, eagles, marabou, flamingos, ibises, peacocks and other birds in the enclosures.

Who else can you meet in Jungle Park? Primates — chimpanzees, orangutans, gibbons, capuchins, monkeys, lemurs. Predatory representatives of the cat family lions, tigers, leopards, jaguars, cougars. Among others, you will see a park of rare white lions. Hippos, meerkats, raccoons, and various reptiles also live here.

It is always very crowded near the enclosure with penguins: it is best to go there when these cuties receive daily food. We also recommend visiting the sea lion show. Charming and artistic animals will give you a great mood. As all performances take place outdoors, remember about sunscreen and hats.

And the park itself is impressive: trees were brought here from Africa and South America, and in the island's warm climate, everything blooms and smells sweet. Birdsong sounds completely different when you listen to it in the middle of the jungle, standing next to a small waterfall. Also, the atmosphere of the jungle is emphasized by suspension rope bridges. Eagles Park in Tenerife offers its visitors other entertainment. For example, you can slide down the bobsleigh track 800 meters long.

Jungle Park has several fast-food cafes; you can also bring your food with you.
