Austria, Semmering
Traditionally, in summer, Artek expands its geography and invites all Artek children to visit the unique land of childhood, situated in a picturesque corner of the Austrian Alps - Semmering Resort. The unique scenery around creates a special atmosphere that allows you to forget about all the daily routine and finally have a real active holiday!
Every day of the shift is an amazing world, full of all kinds of activities and competitions. Excursions to Vienna with numerous photo opportunities and, of course, world-enriching experiences; Artek entertainment (swimming pool, biking, mini-golf, etc.); hiking in the mountains, songs at the Artek campfire; sport competitions and creative performances; rousing mass parties and discos; communication with English-speaking volunteers and counselors; being with your friends in the group - all this promises to turn your holiday into a real miracle!

Accommodation
All children stay at the Sporthotel with 4-5 people per room and every comfort.
Meals
Children have 5 meals a day: breakfast, lunch, afternoon snack, dinner, the second dinner; all meals are cooked according to the normative children feeding standards in the camp; the feeding programme is approved and certified by the relevant supervising authority.
Medicine
Medical insurance for the duration of your child's stay in the camp.
Education: In Camp Artek - Semmering the education programme consists of 2 parts:
English tuition;
German language training.
Classes are taught by qualified teachers. The program is planned according to the level of children, topics of the shift and the age of the children. English and German classes are held in parallel in small groups and are carried out in a playful way. Children will improve their speaking skills, build up their vocabulary and do different exercises and assignments related to the language programme. Class duration: 50 minutes.
Number of lessons per shift: 7-10 lessons, depending on the programme of each shift.
The whole camp programme is structured in such a way that the language skills and knowledge are put to use during the whole shift, allowing the children to put what they have learned and experience into practice. The atmosphere of the Austrian Alps also gives the children an opportunity to try their hand in communicating with the locals. A volunteer from the Netherlands assists the children in adapting.
