Biathlon Weekend Camp

Biathlon Weekend Camp

United States, Brillion

Overview

Welcome to the world of the biathlon, where the chill of wintry landscapes meets the thrill of athletic prowess. "Biathlon Open Camp" is a compelling invitation to young athletes aged 12 and above to strap on their skis and aim for perfection in one exhilarating weekend. Starting on a Friday and wrapping up by Sunday afternoon, this camp caters to a range of skill levels - from beginners tasting the excitement of biathlon for the first time, to seasoned competitors honing their artistry in this demanding sport. Under the watchful eyes of seasoned coaches Gregg Pattison, Ben Lund, and Sean Becker, attendees will be learning and perfecting their biathlon shooting skills, grasping the art of accurate zeroing, acquiring ski/shoot transition abilities across four intricate phases, and discovering the psychology hidden behind each successful shot.

The promise of mastered skills and cherished memories is just around the corner. Camp-goers are asked to bring their own biathlon rifle (availability of CZ rifles on site for an additional cost), roller skis, helmet, and running shoes, while certification in biathlon safety and basic understanding of the sport are prerequisites. A preview to the invigorating Summer/Fall Biathlon Race Series is included in the camp's offerings, as are boxed lunches to fuel the action of the weekend. Come to Ariens Nordic Center, where the beauty of nature converges with the passion for the sport. It's time to achieve, learn, and grow in a weekend that none would soon forget.
