Camp Thayer

Camp Thayer

United States, Braintree

Overview

Step into a summer of growth and fun at Camp Thayer, where every child is encouraged to explore their interests and unlock their potential in a non-competitive environment. From sports to science, the camp's diverse offering of programs keeps kids engaged and excited all summer long. Every week brings a fresh wave of activities, from track and field to football, and even digital creativity with Photoshop. But it doesn't stop there. Other interesting pursuits such as drama, music, dance, and pottery are also on the menu, ensuring a well-rounded experience for all campers. For the more adventurous ones, sailing and a ropes course are bound to get their adrenaline pumping. The camp is not just about having fun, though. It's also a place where kids can learn and grow. The Counselors in Training (CIT) program, designed for teens aged 14 to 16, serves as a stepping stone to leadership and interpersonal skills. Apprenticing with experienced counselors, the CITs gain hands-on knowledge of the camp's diverse programs and activities. Through these programs, children don't just pass the time at Camp Thayer – they thrive, learning new things, making new friends, and creating memories that will last a lifetime. Whether they're enjoying lunch in the Cahall Dining Hall or taking part in one of the extended day options, it's clear that Camp Thayer is more than just a summer camp – it's a summer home.
