Overview
At Colorado Skate University, the art of skateboarding is taught with passion and dedication. This family-owned enterprise, located in the heart of Denver, Colorado, goes beyond the traditional camp experience, offering private and group lessons, clinics, and even skateboard-themed birthday parties for children aged five and above. The team is adept at bringing out the inner skateboarding enthusiast in both boys and girls, and they even welcome parents to join the fun. The curriculum at Colorado Skate University aims not just to teach skateboarding skills but also to instill confidence, promote physical strength, encourage weight loss, and nurture a positive attitude. The camp’s experienced instructors, all veterans of the skateboarding scene, cater to both beginners and advanced learners across a wide age range. The lessons are designed to be safe and effective, teaching kids how to fall properly, uphold skatepark etiquette, and gradually master thrilling tricks like ollies and kickflips. What sets this camp apart is its emphasis on fun and learning. Each event promises a shower of freebies from their generous sponsors, including stickers, videos, shirts, and posters. They even have a 'tricktionary', a handy guide that decodes trick names and techniques, paired with a checklist that helps track progress. The cherry on top? They offer skateboard homework to keep the excitement going even after the day is done. And for those special occasions, they create unique skateboard cakes and chocolate skateboards. While Colorado Skate University doesn’t yet have its own facility, the team's spirit, dedication, and the joy they bring to every lesson more than make up for it.
