Deer Run Camps And Retreats

Deer Run Camps And Retreats

United States, Thompson's Station

Overview

Picture this: A sylvan hideaway, far from the city ruckus, spread across 100 acres. This haven is home to Deer Run Camps & Retreats, a place where children can dissolve the humdrum of everyday distractions and dive into a world full of self-discovery. Deer Run's philosophy is tied up in their motto: ‘Deeper Faith. Greater Adventures’. Deer Run is not your average camp, though - far from it. This traditional-style, Christian camp located with proximity to historic downtown Franklin and not far from Nashville, encourages young explorers to go beyond their familiar horizon as they experience a medley of activities. Whether it’s honing aim and teamwork in paintball, perfecting strokes in swimming, or navigating the gentle currents in a kayak or canoe, each activity is tailored to foster growth in faith, character, and leadership. Take a crack at the rope course or dabble in arts and crafts. Young adventurers can further test their mettle with orienteering – a chance to unlock their inner navigators. Even the most die-hard adventurers need a breather though; they can enjoy fellowship in our non-denominational settings, strengthening bonds of friendship. Underpinning it all is an extraordinary staff-to-camper ratio, which, unlike many other camps, permits closer supervision, allows for tighter-knit relationships and offers an all round more transformative experience. So, why not let your little adventurers unplug from the digital world and plug into the larger life canvass filled with authentic experiences? After all, there’s more to childhood than screen time, as Deer Run aptly shows. They even leave with a memento: a themed shirt and a downloadable video link of precious memories made during their stay.
