FCA Mankato Area Junior Sports Clinic

United States, Mankato

Overview

Embark on an incredible journey at the FCA Mankato Area Junior Sports Clinic, an experience that goes beyond the greens and fairways of golf. This camp is a beacon for young athletes, offering more than just lessons in sport, but also fostering spiritual growth and personal relationships with Jesus Christ. Founded by Capt. Bill Lewis, a pioneer in the FCA Golf Ministry, this camp has a rich history with connections to the LPGA Fellowship group. It's been a training ground for many budding golfers, some of whom received guidance from seasoned pros like Murle Breer, Beth Stone, and Joyce Benson. The camp's first inception at Pine Needles Lodge & Country Club saw a modest group of 28 junior golfers refining their skills under the watchful eyes of "Bullet" & Peggy Kirk Bell, Tour Pro Larry Nelson, and Coach Conrad Rehling. FCA Mankato Area Junior Sports Clinic is more than just a camp; it's a community. In 1980, it launched its inaugural "Breakfast with the Pros" event during the Memorial Tournament in Columbus, OH. This event saw Tour Pro Larry Nelson sharing insights and inspiration with a crowd of 170 attendees. This camp is dedicated to not just nurturing golfing skills but also shaping well-rounded individuals. It's about creating a balanced experience, where sport and spirituality can coexist harmoniously. So, gear up for a summer at FCA Mankato Area Junior Sports Clinic, where every swing of the club is a step closer to personal growth and spiritual understanding.
