Expedition Options Blue Ridge Expedition: A two-week backpacking and whitewater canoe trip in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Western North Carolina. This expedition immerses participants in the breathtaking landscapes of the region while honing their outdoor skills. Outer Banks Expedition: A two-week adventure featuring backpacking and sea kayaking on the picturesque Outer Banks of North Carolina. Campers explore coastal ecosystems and develop their kayaking abilities. Trail Blazers Expedition: A three-week leadership service trip that includes backpacking and canoeing. This expedition focuses on developing leadership skills through service projects and outdoor adventures. Western Expeditions: A three-week backpacking and white water rafting trip in the San Juan Mountains of Southwest Colorado. This challenging expedition offers participants the chance to experience the rugged beauty of the Rockies. Educational Partnerships Green River Preserve has partnered with Queens University of Charlotte to offer four college credit hours for participants in the Western Expeditions (WXP) and Trailblazers Leadership Expedition (TBX). These programs are designed for rising 11th and 12th graders as well as college freshmen, providing a valuable educational component alongside outdoor adventures.
