Overview
If your family's idea of a perfect summer involves a delightful mix of sports, arts, and creativity, then the Milton Academy Summer Programs might be just the ticket.
Their SPORTS P.L.U.S. program, led by Sandi and Geordie Dunnington, allows students from Kindergarten to Grade 6 to dive into a medley of sports, including baseball, basketball, soccer, lacrosse, and tennis. And, of course, no summer is complete without a refreshing dip in the pool.
For those puck lovers, Larry Fitzpatrick directs the Milton Academy Summer Hockey Camp. This all-day experience hones the skills of budding hockey enthusiasts, from general hockey abilities to off-ice conditioning.
But the academy doesn't just cater to the sporty. The Kaleidoscope program, under Mary Stack's watchful eye, offers a vibrant world of art, theater, problem-solving, and creative writing for children aged 7-13.
The drama program, Centre Stage Drama, directed by William Deschenes, welcomes children aged 10-14. Here, students will experience the thrill of play production, from the first script reading to the final bows.
The Creative Stages program, under the direction of Eleza Kort, fosters new performances through collaborative creation. Students develop an original show in just one week, combining structured improvisations with direction to create polished theater.
For the dance enthusiasts, the Summer Dance Program, directed by Marthavan McKeon, offers a two-week intensive ballet program for intermediate and advanced students aged 9-16, enriched with character, jazz, and stage makeup classes. A final performance in King Theatre on July 3 is sure to be the cherry on top of an unforgettable summer experience.
