Nike Distance Camp with Bernard Lagat

Nike Distance Camp with Bernard Lagat

United States, Tucson

Overview

For high school distance runners eager to push their limits and learn from one of the greatest in the sport, the Nike Distance Camp with Bernard Lagat is an unparalleled opportunity. Taking place at the University of Arizona from January 2–5, 2024, this co-ed day camp is designed for athletes aged 14–18 who are ready to enhance their performance while enjoying sunny Tucson. Led by Bernard Lagat—World Champion, Olympic medalist, and current Head Cross Country Coach at the University of Arizona—this camp offers a perfect blend of serious training and fun. Participants will train on both scenic trails and a professional track, with groups organized by fitness level and average pace. With a low camper-to-coach ratio, each athlete receives personalized attention to refine their technique, improve endurance, and build confidence. The program goes beyond physical training. Educational breakout sessions provide insights into running strategies, injury prevention, and mental preparation. Campers also receive a Nike Running Camp T-shirt as a memento of their experience. Whether you're preparing for indoor track season, gearing up for outdoor meets, or building on your cross-country foundation, this camp provides expert guidance to help you achieve your goals. Training alongside peers who share your passion and learning from one of the sport's legends makes this experience truly special. Just remember to pack your running shoes (two pairs recommended), snacks, and plenty of energy. This camp is all about chasing your personal best while soaking up inspiration from an icon in distance running!
