For families with sport-loving kids, the Nike Field Hockey Camp at Georgetown High School is a perfect summer destination. This camp is a field hockey enthusiast's dream, offering children of all abilities the chance to refine their skills under the expert guidance of Camp Director Meagan Hildebrand and her dedicated coaching team. This camp not only embraces the spirit of the game, but also partners with USA Field Hockey, sanctioned to make referrals to the USAFH Futures program. Programs are tailored to all skill levels, from the "Sticks for Starters" program for beginners, to the more advanced "All Skills" training sessions. Morning and afternoon training sessions are on the agenda, with each camper receiving a comprehensive package of Nike Field Hockey gear. Special goalkeeping instruction is also part of the program, making this a comprehensive training camp for all aspects of the game. Campers are evaluated upon arrival and placed into groups based on age and ability level. This ensures a tailored experience, with each child given the tools and instruction to enhance their skills at their own pace. The camp does not provide lunch, so parents are advised to pack a sack lunch for their camper. As for other essentials, a suggested list includes athletic wear, hockey sticks, mouth guards, shin guards, turf shoes, and a water bottle. For inclement weather, a contingency plan is in place to ensure the fun doesn't stop. The Nike Field Hockey Camp at Georgetown High School is a fantastic opportunity for young athletes to improve their game, have fun, and make lasting friendships. But remember, spots are first-come-first-serve, so early registration is encouraged.
