Seussical KIDS Music Theatre Camp

Seussical KIDS Music Theatre Camp

United States, Georgetown

Overview

Families seeking an engaging blend of artistry and athleticism for their children, look no further than Project Encore - Seussical KIDS Music Theatre Camp. This extraordinary camp, a brainchild of Founding Director Alyssa Shelton Curry, marries the magic of Broadway with the thrill of physical activity. Originally known as Project Encore, the camp blossomed from a performing arts workshop for youth ages 8-14, into a partnership with the Scott County chapter of the YMCA in 2005. For nearly a decade, workshops took place in various schools throughout Scott County, Kentucky, where kids could dive into the world of Broadway-themed classes. Their eyes would sparkle at the sight of countless dance steps and their hearts would pound to the rhythm of exciting music lessons. In 2015, the camp adopted the name 'Youth Theatre of the Bluegrass' and achieved recognition as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Yet, the spirit of Project Encore lives on, symbolized by the logo that continues to inspire and motivate young artists. This is where your child's passion for debate can find a stage, their love for swimming can meet a melody, and their dance skills can twirl to the tune of unforgettable music. At Project Encore - Seussical KIDS Music Theatre Camp, every day is a vibrant performance that brings joy, builds character, and nurtures talents. After all, this isn't just a camp; it's a curtain call for potential and a standing ovation for growth.
