Teen Reach Adventure Camp (T.R.A.C.) is a transformative summer experience designed specifically for at-risk youth, primarily those in foster care, aged 12 to 15. This three-day camp provides a safe, supportive, and fun environment where teens can explore the outdoors, build trust, and develop self-worth through engaging activities and meaningful connections.
Campers participate in a variety of enriching experiences, including archery, swimming, kayaking, arts and crafts, and low ropes courses. These activities are carefully designed to foster teamwork, communication, and resilience while ensuring plenty of fun along the way. The camp also includes special moments like talent shows and group games that encourage self-expression and camaraderie.
What sets T.R.A.C. apart is its trauma-informed approach. With a low camper-to-counselor ratio of 2:1, each teen receives personalized attention from trained volunteers who are committed to creating a non-judgmental and nurturing atmosphere. Separate camps for boys and girls further enhance comfort and safety for participants.
Beyond the outdoor adventures, the camp emphasizes emotional growth and hope for the future. Through quality time with counselors and peers, campers leave with positive memories, strengthened self-esteem, and a renewed sense of possibility. For many teens, the experience is life-changing—a chance to feel valued and supported.
Teen Reach Adventure Camp is more than just a getaway; it’s an opportunity for at-risk youth to discover their potential while making lasting memories in a caring community.
