Overview
Embarking on a voyage of family fun, faith, and environment-focused learning, families jet off on an adventure to The Pines Catholic Camp. With its roots embedded deeply in faith, The Pines' humble beginnings date back to 1988 as an extension of the youth ministry of several Dallas parishes. From 446 campers in its lauded inaugural year to now serving a multitude of kids each year, The Pines’ growth mirrors the towering pine trees from which it takes its name.
Into the woods and beyond, The Pines is not your average run-of-the-mill summer camp. The green, buzzing landscape of Big Sandy, Texas, a leisurely two-hour drive from the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex, acts as the perfect backdrop for distinctive enchantment and adventure. The canvas is sketched out with the laughter of children, whispers in the wind, cicadas singing under the summer sky, and a symphony of nature.
Nestled in the embrace of Mother Nature, The Pines, like a watchful parent, instills a strong sense of environmental responsibility and appreciation in its young explorers. Infused with Catholic teachings, the camp's ethos promotes holistic development, ensuring that while the epidermis may be sunkissed and dirt-smudged, the soul is nourished and glowing.
The Pines Catholic Camp – a wonderland of exploration, faith and fun, and a summer sanctuary that unrolls a lifetime of memories across the forest floor. Just imagine the tales that your children will have to share, of friendships made, challenges met, faith fostered, and a newfound respect for the environment. Magic resides in these woods, in the heartbeats of thousands of happy campers – and that magic is just a summer away.
