Underglaze Painting: Learn to decorate pottery with vibrant colors and intricate designs. Plate & Bowl Formation: Use rolling and carving techniques to shape plates and shallow bowls. Studio Practice: Work in a professional ceramics studio under the guidance of experienced instructors. This program is open to all skill levels, making it accessible for beginners and experienced artists alike. Daily Schedule A typical day includes: Morning: Hands-on studio sessions focused on specific techniques like wheel-throwing or carving. Afternoon: Creative workshops, glazing, and collaborative projects. Evening: Time for independent practice or exploring campus life with peers. Program Details Dates: June 16–21, 2024 Cost: $1,680 (includes lodging, meals, course materials, activities, and excursions) Eligibility: Open to rising high school sophomores, juniors, and seniors Location: UNC Asheville campus A $500 deposit is required upon registration, with the remaining balance due by May 1, 2024.
