Youth Summer Camp Shows

United States, Frederick

Overview

From the rolling hills of Frederick, Maryland, comes an unforgettable summer experience for young people with a flair for the dramatic. The Endangered Species Theatre Project’s Youth Summer Camp is not just a creative space, but also a vibrant community that seeks to uplift and celebrate diverse voices. Here, forgotten plays and playwrights are revived, and representation of women over 40 and other historically underrepresented artists is championed in a unique and engaging way. For the younger ones, aged 7-15, the INTE-GREAT! Summer Camp is an exciting opportunity to delve into a modern and contemporary version of the classic Hansel & Gretel. The camp begins on June 21st and runs until July 11th, offering a blend of theatrical training and fun-filled activities. For older teens, ages 14-18, SHAKESPEARE ON THE RISE is a perfect fit. Starting on June 30th, this program immerses campers in the witty and romantic world of Much Ado About Nothing. The camp culminates in a final performance that allows the young actors to showcase their newly honed skills. Whether your child is a natural debater, an aspiring actor, or a sports enthusiast, this summer camp offers a wide array of activities. From enjoying a refreshing swim to engaging in spirited sports games, there's never a dull moment. In essence, the Endangered Species Theatre Project’s Youth Summer Camp is more than a summer pastime. It's a place for your kids to grow, express themselves, and form lifelong friendships, all while enjoying the magic of theatre and the great outdoors.
