Don't you want to feel all the benefits and grace of thermal water that has travelled a long way through the layers of rock? Once it has come to the surface, enriched with minerals and trace elements, it is ready to meet people in one of Austria's health resorts — Bad Gastein (Gastein Valley).
All this is available in abundance at the unique Felsentherme spa, where you can relax with the whole family after an active day on the snowy slopes.
The Felsentherme offers visitors relaxation in areas based around some 18 unique hot springs. These springs bubble up directly from the ground, leaving skiers feeling invigorated and in a good mood after their spa treatment. There is nothing better than soothing tired muscles, relaxing and stimulating the circulation with the help of positively charged water that has been flowing from the depths of the earth for centuries.
The Felsentherme family spa has been operating in the local national park since 2004. Its jewel is a rocky grotto with a thunderous waterfall. Once here, you can choose the most suitable water holiday for you and your child: a swim in one of the warm water pools, a bath, a sauna or relaxation in the relaxation area.
So what can visitors expect to find in the different areas of the Felsentherme? First of all, there is the activity area, where the younger guests like to spend their time. There are 3 swimming pools of different sizes and depths (one of which is a paddling pool for the little ones) in an area of 600 square metres. Each pool has a 70-metre water slide, massage jets, water curtains and a white-water channel. There is also a sun lounger area where you can take a short break from the water.
The active recreation area is connected to the relaxation area by a fast-flowing canal. It is located in a rocky hall. The wellness area, where visitors can 'warm up', is located on 600 square metres in the panoramic Felsentherme area. This area houses a large number of different saunas and dry and wet air saunas.
There is also a modern infrared cabin, a salt grotto, a solarium, a nudist terrace at the top and a couple of cold and warm water pools. For the more athletic, the spa has its own gym with state-of-the-art cardio and crossfit equipment.
If you get hungry (and you will!), the open-air terrace of the Silberkrug restaurant welcomes you and your children with a wide selection of European dishes.
