The air in the Alps is so pure that children's energy levels are doubled. To channel this energy, we recommend relaxing at the Grossarl Sports and Leisure Centre. The centre covers almost 36,000 square metres, but despite its size it blends in beautifully with the Alpine landscape.
The 36,000 m² leisure centre offers the following sports and leisure facilities:
- Aquatic centre with 4 different pools
- Beach volleyball court
- Mini golf
- Tennis courts
- Outdoor football
- Rubber football pitch
- Adventure playground Rukki Zukki Gaudi Alm
The main advantage of the centre is the variety of leisure activities. Firstly, there are modern playgrounds for sports — football and mini-football, lawn tennis and beach volleyball. Secondly, there are four outdoor swimming pools. One of the pools is very shallow and is intended for the centre's younger guests. The fountain clown sprays water in all directions and the snake slide will not scare anyone. Older children can swim in the larger pools, which have trampolines and a speedy slide.
Thirdly, the children's playground is fun for parents too. Who wouldn't want to cross the lake on a raft (even if it's only ankle-deep) or shovel sand with a digger? For the kids, there are slides, trampolines, climbing frames and swings. Active children will love the mini-carts, for which there is a protected track with markings and signs. For those with a more sedate disposition, a game of crazy golf will do the trick. There is even a treasure cave for the more adventurous.
The family can also relax in the leisure area: sunbathe on the green lawn, lie in a hammock or feed the animals in the petting zoo.
