Fantasiana Amusement Park

Fantasiana Amusement Park

Austria, Salzburg

Fantasiana is a real world of adventure for children of all ages. The park opened in 1996 not far from Salzburg and covers an area of around 80,000 square metres. It's a great place to relax with the family, especially during the warmer months when most of the outdoor attractions are open.

Upon entering, visitors find themselves in a darkened hall in the shape of a fairytale forest, where they meet toy figures of magical gnomes, forest animals and birds. There are various attractions for the youngest visitors (e.g. caterpillar trains and flying snails) as well as for older children and adults (pirate ship, roller coaster).

The more adventurous can visit Dracula's Room or Sinbad's Room (not recommended for small children, as moving figures and falling spiders and skeletons can frighten even adults).

Join a jeep safari with pre-schoolers in colourful cars or take a real trip down the Jungle River on a raft. All the animals along the way are interactive and if you get close to them they'll move, nod their heads and a big elephant will even try to drown you in a jet of water. You can also visit the Wild West Village with scenes from the life of cowboys. You can also test your marksmanship at the shooting range.

In the woodland part of the park, characters from the Brothers Grimm fairytales await you. The Brothers Grimm Trail takes you past famous tales such as The Frog King, Little Red Riding Hood, The Bremen Musicians, Rapunzel and many more. Let yourself be enchanted by the world of fairy tales, and if you shout loud enough: Rapunzel, let down your hair! ... maybe Rapunzel will let down her beautiful hair for you? It's definitely worth a try!

It will also be interesting to meet the local dwarves. The Doctor, the Shoemaker and the Little Tailor invite you to Pilzhausen! Enjoy a ride on the monorail or the swan boats and watch the hardworking gnomes at their jobs.

Another interesting attraction is the interactive Dinosaur Park, where children and adults can take a fascinating journey back in time on a steam train. The Fantasiana amusement park has a driving range and a 3D cinema.

After all the action, games and rides, relax and enjoy a bite to eat at one of the two self-service restaurants on site. Delicious burgers, including a vegetarian option, can be found at Sindbad's Burger Restaurant in the East Zone. A second restaurant, the Westernrestaurant, is located in the West Town and offers a wide range of food and drinks. The terrace overlooking the show stage is particularly popular on sunny days.

The restaurants serve delicious food and drinks at family-friendly prices from morning to night. Please also note the "Menu of the Day" which is available on some days on the sign outside the West Restaurant. Please note that there may be queues at weekends, especially at lunchtime (12:00-13:30).
