Hermann Maier, multiple Olympic, World and World Cup champion, grew up in Flachau. Today, there is a Hermann Maier slope and, of course, his ski school, where you can learn to ski like the world champion. The school recently celebrated its 30th anniversary and is proud of the achievements of its students. The main children's area with all the necessary equipment is located near the bottom of the Achterjet lift in Flachau.
The youngest students at Skischule Hermann Maier receive special attention. There is a programme for children aged 3 to 6. Every training day is different: the children enjoy working on the slopes and in the training areas, fun activities, ski safaris, speed competitions, jumping competitions, tug-of-war, après-ski for children and adults and a chat with the school's cheerful mascot, Hermi. A half-day taster course is available for the Bambini group (3-4 years). A full four-hour course is available for children aged 6-14.
If both adults and children in your family need training, the school has prepared a special "Family Package" (individual training with an instructor for two adults and one child).
Young snowboarders can also choose between 2.5 and 4 hour courses. Children's groups are open to children up to the age of 14.
