Skischule Flachau in Salzburgerland is one of the best known ski schools in the resort. The experienced instructors have paid great attention to children, so you'll find several specially designed courses and the school accepts children as young as two!
The following group activities are available for toddlers:
Toddlers Club
Children aged 2 and over can join the 45-minute classes at Dinoworld. Specially trained instructors work in groups of no more than two children. As a result of this course, the child will be able to ski, get on and off the conveyor belt and then slowly descend. These lessons will help prepare the child for more serious courses next season when they are older.
Dinolinos
Courses are for children aged 3 and over who can go to the toilet by themselves. Lessons take place in the children's area of the school. During the lessons young skiers will learn how to ski more confidently, how to stop, how to turn and how to ski downhill. After the lessons in the children's area, your kids will go to the cable car. There is a maximum of four children per group.
Dinolinos taster lessons
Trial lessons are on Sundays and Mondays from 10:00 to 12:00. If you're not sure if your child is ready for group lessons, this is a great way to find out and then decide whether to continue or wait another year.
The timetable at Flachau Ski School is designed to ensure that the children never get bored, so lessons are interspersed with games and fun competitions. For example, in the middle of the week everyone takes part in a jumping competition and at the end of the week, on Friday, there is a final race.
