Healthy living enthusiasts never tire of reminding you of the benefits of swimming. And we all know how nice it is to take a leisurely swim or just relax in warm water. Bathing and playing in the water is also fun for the little ones. During your holiday with your child in the Alps, you can have a great time at the Wagrain Water World, which is open all year round.
All the pools in the centre have a total surface area of 1,000 square metres. Some of them are outdoors, but the warm water doesn't stop you swimming even in winter. It's a rare opportunity for children to play snowball and splash in the pool at the same time.
In summer, however, there are many more opportunities for recreation. The little ones play in several smaller pools that are connected to each other. Babies have buckets, cups and floating toys. Older children swim in the deeper pool, where you can even snorkel. For those who aren't quite sure how to swim, you can hire a pair of life jackets.
Two children's slides descend into one of the pools. The bright yellow slide is a fast descent, but the orange slide winds its way down to the pool like a river between hills. A funny dragon guards the remaining slide for teens and adults. Loungers line the pools, providing plenty of space for sunbathing. When the kids have had enough, they can move on to the playground. All the rides are made of wood and ropes, and there's even a small bungee.
In the colder months of the year, you don't have to swim outdoors, you can use the indoor pools. Even the little dragon moves under the roof — in winter it serves as a slide for the children. One of the indoor pools has a whirlpool. There are also several saunas, a small walking pool and a massage room.
