If you are planning to put your child on skis during a trip to Seefeld, the Seefeld Ski School is an excellent choice. Children are tested before they start, then groups are formed and training begins.
There are 3 types of groups at the children's ski school:
- Tiny-tot's: children from 3 to 5 years old, 2 hours a day.
- Beginners: children from 3 to 15 years old, 4 hours a day.
- Advanced: Children from 3 to 15 years old, 4 hours a day.
If you are not sure whether your child is ready for visiting ski school lessons, try a two-hour trial group session (Mondays) for children aged 3 to 5.
The Seefeld Ski School has three specially equipped areas for children's lessons: two are located on the Geigenbühel and the third on the Rosshütte. They are equipped with everything you need to make learning effective, fun and unobtrusive. Gizzi's Children's Ski Paradise is the children's area for young skiers and is equipped with ski lifts, bright learning elements on the slopes, a playground, a carousel and a lunch tent (120 square metres, special restaurant meals).
The cheerful Gizzi dragon, the school's symbol, visits the children during their training and competitions. The school also runs the Gizzi's Children's Club, where children from 2 to 8 years old can have fun. The club is open to children who are not yet enrolled in lessons, as well as to students of the school (for example, a special Tiny-tot's package includes free admission to the club in addition to lessons). At the end of the course, the child receives a special certificate indicating the level of skiing (from 1 to 7).
On Fridays there is a final competition and award ceremony where the children can show off their skiing knowledge and skills.
