The ski school Sportaktiv can be visited by tourists staying in the villages of Seefeld and Reith. The main children's ski area is located near the Gschwandtkopf lift. There is also a meeting point for all children's groups. The Ski School Sportaktiv has developed several training programmes for children.
The Mini Course is for children aged 3 to 5. There is a maximum of 8 children per group and lessons last 2 hours. A colourful train takes the little skiers to the slopes every day. Lessons start on Mondays.
The Super Mini Course (max. 8 children in a group) is a group for young skiers aged 3 to 5 who can already handle smaller slopes. During the course the instructors teach the little ones how to use the lift and prepare them for the final race. Lessons start on Mondays.
The Maxi Course group is for children aged 5 and over. There is a maximum of 8 to 10 children per group. Children are divided into 5 sub-groups according to their level of skiing; the colour of the vests varies, e.g. blue vests for 1st level children and red vests for advanced skiers. Lessons start on Sundays and Mondays.
On Fridays the children take part in the final ski race, the most emotional part of which is the presentation of medals and certificates to the participants. For an additional fee, young skiers can have lunch and rest between lessons under the supervision of instructors. For those wishing to learn to snowboard, there is a separate group course (4-6 people per group) or individual course lasting from 1 to 5 days.
