The Fiss-Ladis Ski School (Serfaus Ski Resort) is a great way to teach your child to ski in a fun and easy way. This is mainly due to the school's rich and varied infrastructure, which is completely child-friendly, and the professional instructors who take an individual approach to each child.
Every Sunday at 10.30 a.m., the Children's Centre at Berta's Kinderland Park hosts a free introductory meeting for parents and their children, including first attempts at skiing and snow games. The children's programme is divided into different categories: there is a special introductory course for the little ones aged 3 years Bambini, separate courses are offered for children aged 4 to 12 years old and from 12 to 17 years. Courses last half a day with a maximum of five children per group. Food and drinks can be included at extra cost.
There are seven levels of instruction for children aged 4 to 11 and 12 to 17. Levels 1, 2 and the Bambini group are taught on the gentle slopes of Berta's Kinderland Winter Park. Levels three and four are taught on easy blue runs, levels five to six on medium difficulty runs and level seven on more challenging runs.
Additional animation and fun activities at the school make the learning process even more interesting and entertaining. For example, young children can enjoy a puppet show or a treasure hunt, older children can learn a new sport from Cowboy Joe in a Wild West town, while teenagers can enjoy a barbecue or a flight in a Fisse Flieger, a four-seater biplane.
And what about competitions? Once a week all the children can take part in a final competition with an exciting prize giving ceremony for the fastest and most agile. The ski school also offers snowboarding lessons for all children (recommended from six years old), so you can learn the basics of this exciting sport in no time at all. The ski school also has a kindergarten open from Sunday to Friday from 9:00 to 16:00. The children's restaurant Berta's Kinderplanet offers a good choice of food and drinks adapted for young skiers.
