Fun and exciting group and private lessons in skiing and other winter sports take place in the huge 45,000 square metre Kinderschneealm park. Here you can leave your children in the care of their instructors, who will teach them and feed them in the children's restaurant.
For the youngest visitors to Serfaus (children from the age of three), the Murmli Friends training programme offers a stress-free and easy way to teach children to ski, with active games and activities under the guidance of instructors with extensive pedagogical experience. For three-year-olds, there are also two hours of guided skiing in the village itself, in the 10,000 m² Murmli Winter Park, where the slopes are gentle and completely safe, and skiing is a real pleasure.
FRIENDS TRAILS is a unique concept that allows children to learn to ski quickly and easily. They combine fun and play with the latest in ski technology and introduce children to the most important skiing movements in a fun way. Parents will be amazed at how quickly young beginners become great experts!
On Sundays, the Serfaus school organises a test run and group formation. There are 11 groups (from 0 to 10) according to the level of the students. Each group has a maximum of seven children. The youngest group is for children as young as three, while level 10 is for children aged 4 to 12 who are just starting out on skis. Further gradation is based on skills and the difficulty of the slopes on which the lessons take place.
The children's school organises theme days. On Mondays all the children have a 'Snow Day' with surprises and games in the snow and on Thursdays there is a 'Colour Day' with games, tricks and opportunities to experiment with colours. The children's educational programme ends with a competition on Friday evening and a ride on a blue slope with roaring bears, owls and other interesting characters who sing and dance when you get close to them. After the race, there will be a ceremony in the Cultural Centre to award medals, hats and certificates to all the relay teams without exception. It is recommended that you bring helmets, lip balm, sunscreen and sunglasses to school.
Snowboarding lessons are also offered for children over the age of six. Meals are available at the on-site children's restaurant at an additional cost. There is a crèche in the park for children under the age of five, open daily from 8.30am to 5pm.
