At 1,650 metres above sea level, playing in the fresh mountain air is twice as much fun, especially in the wonderful park that offers fun and adventure for the whole family. The Keiserwelt family theme park opens its doors every summer and autumn at the top station of the Scheffau-Brandstadl lift.
Once you've passed through the high wooden gates by the lift, you'll find yourself in a real kingdom where everyone can test their agility, strength and skills. While the youngest visitors of the park play in the sandpit, bounce on the trampolines or ride the swings and merry-go-rounds on the specially laid lawn, the older children can perform real feats in the Royal Forest.
There's a climbing wall, mazes, trails, tree houses, slides — in short, everything to make your child feel like a real knight or Robin Hood. Special structures and paths throughout the park develop children's agility and dexterity and keep them moving and active at all times.
In the Bastelstube craft room, children can get creative under the supervision of qualified staff (take part in a cooking course, draw or make their own craft), or those who are not stingy can hike on trails such as the Panoramic Trail to the top of the Hartkaiser, the Imperial Hike and the Marmot Loop.
The nearby Berggasthof Jochstubn, close to the playground and the beautiful lake, is also worth a visit and offers fabulous views of the rugged Wilder Kaiser mountains. Refreshments and snacks are available at the Brandstadl mountain restaurant, which has a chic terrace next to the playground. Children's mini-cards are available in the restaurant and there is a play corner with board games.
