Top Skischule Westendorf was founded by Jakob Hirzinger in 1990 and today it offers skiing and snowboarding courses for everyone, adults and children alike. The children's school is run by Georg Entleitner, a father of three. He is therefore more familiar than anyone else with the peculiarities and most effective principles of teaching young skiers. The Top Ski School is a major player among the ski schools in Westendorf. The secret of our success lies in the personal touch.
The school offers three courses for children:
- Bambini - children from 3 to 4 years old. The programme includes: first steps on skis, use of the "magic carpet" children's conveyor belt, "children's steam train", ascent with the lift, descent with the slide, participation in children's shows and competitions;
- Beginner for children from 5 to 15 years old. The programme includes: balance exercises, ploughing technique, braking, turns and fun competitions;
- Advanced for children aged 5 to 15. Courses include: carving, powder and steep slopes, moguls, jumps and parallel turns.
For an additional fee, children can be accompanied by the instructors during the lunch break. Lunch and drinks are included.
During lessons, the school uses brightly coloured teaching aids, the training area is equipped with a toboggan run and a wave run, and the school's mascot, a cheerful clown, accompanies the children throughout.
All groups have a competition at the end of their lessons and the winners are rewarded at a bowling alley in one of the resort's hotels.
