Founded in 1995, the Hartweger Ski School welcomes all holidaymakers to Kaprun and offers experienced ski and snowboard instructors. The children's course is open to all children from 5 to 15 years of age, and the snowboarding course is open to all children from 8 years of age. In addition to lessons, you can hire ski equipment for the whole family. You'll be taught in small groups of 4-8 to ensure maximum safety and efficiency.
Children first learn to walk and ski on level ground. Balancing on gliding skis can be tricky, but most children get the hang of it after a few tries! The next step is more challenging. Balancing on waves, small hills and mini-tramps to improve stability on skis. This helps to master sliding and breaking (snow plough).
Finally, children learn to navigate the snow. They will learn how to use the lifts, follow the instructor and manage their skis on the slalom slopes. The instructors will help your child achieve these goals with ease!
Depending on age, the school offers the following groups
Mini Club. For children aged 3-5 who have never been on skis before. Your child will learn their first steps on skis with a certified instructor in a fun and educational way. "The Mini" starts with a 1 hour private lesson. If your child enjoys the lesson, they can continue with other "Minis" in a small group.
MINI CLUB — Group lessons from 4 years for 2 participants.
- Duration: 2 hours per day
- Start time: 10:00 or 13:00
- Max. 2 participants
Courses for children aged 5-15. Daily from Sunday to Friday. Maximum 10 children per group! Full time tuition of 4 hours per day and a break of approximately 1 hour (duration: 9:30 to 15:00).
Qualified and certified teachers take care of your young talents, offering a variety of programmes according to age and ability. During the lunch break your children will be supervised by the instructors. Supervision is free! Food and drinks not included.
Group lessons for children are available with a minimum of 2 students per group. Booking extra days is easy!
