The Skischule Zell-am-See was founded in 1945. With over 100 instructors, it is one of the largest schools not only in Zell am See, but in the whole of Austria.
The school has offices close to the main ski areas in the resort. They offer excellent conditions for both beginners and advanced skiers. Special attention is given to children.
The school's main services for children include:
- Kindergarten for children who have not yet learned to ski. The kindergartens are located at the bottom stations of the Areitbahn and Schmittenhöhe lifts. Children spend time in the playroom with their peers or, weather permitting, outdoors in a special play area.
- The Mini Club for children aged three to four years is a special light course consisting of two hours of daily activities. Children are welcome any day of the week from Sunday to Thursday. Mini Club lessons take place near the bottom stations of the Areitbahn and Schmittenhöhe lifts in a special children's area. There is a fun competition at the end of the course.
- Courses for children aged four and over. Several separate groups of 6-10 children, divided according to their skiing ability. Lessons are four hours a day with a lunch break. A competition is held at the end of the course and all participants receive medals and certificates.
- The children's snowboard course is available for children aged eight and over. The beginners course lasts 4 hours.
- The Power Teens (12-17 years) youth course. This course is specially designed for teens who already know how to ski. During the course, students visit the Fun Park, off-piste slopes and learn to freeride. The group meets at 9.45 am at the top station of the Areitbahn 3, next to the Intersport Drive In.
Please note that ski passes are not included into the course price. Beginners do not need a ski pass for the first few days at AreitXpress and Schmittenhöhe. Depending on your progress, the instructors will advise you to buy a ski pass.
