Bubenheimer Leisure Centre

Bubenheimer Leisure Centre

Germany, Noervenich

This play centre near Cologne is renowned for its numerous attractions, many of which are unique to the region. There is a giant slide, a water playground, a variety of trampolines and swings, a corn maze and a go-kart track.

There is also an indoor play pavilion with a climbing wall and other fun features. There's also plenty to keep the more active players busy: football, basketball, volleyball and handball can all be played here. And all of this promises the most exciting adventures for the park's younger visitors!

If the weather is good enough for outdoor recreation, take a break from your sightseeing programme and visit this German leisure and play park for a few hours.

Corn maze

The corn maze is the highlight of Bubenheim Spieleland. Every year between July and October, a large cornfield is transformed into a 40,000 square metre maze. It is not so easy to get through. Boys and girls not only need to have a good spatial sense, but also to be able to think logically.

There are special boxes at certain points in the maze — these are something like 'reference points' where visitors can place a special stamp on their ticket, and those who manage to collect all these stamps on their way through the maze will be entered into the annual prize draw, which takes place after the attraction closes in the autumn. Simply hand in your ticket with the maze stamps and your contact details at the park exit.

Main playground

The main playground covers several hectares. There's lots to see and do, like two giant inflatable cushions, each measuring 150 square metres! Or a ten metre high slide that can only be descended on special mats! Even the rain will not put anyone off — if it does, there is a large covered play pavilion with an area of 400 square metres.

And the youngest visitors will have fun in the dry pool with colourful balls. The playground features pillow fights, a variety of slides and huts, table football, a giant sandpit, a makeshift puppet theatre and more. The pavilion also offers rides on special Ketcars and a children's bowling alley.

Just 34 km away is the large amusement park Phantasia Land, which we recommend visiting with the whole family.

Water playground

Are you planning a visit to Bubenheimer Spieleland? Make sure you bring rubber boots for the kids. This is the original water playground where you can splash and play with water as much as you like! There are artificial streams, fountains, dams and waterfalls, plus a big children's digger to scoop up and move sand from one place to another. There's also a 'Big Puddle' where you can just jump and run around.
