The Blue Lake near Düsseldorf, is a great place for families. It offers a relaxing walk and a small amusement park with attractions for children. It is not so much the size of the attraction, but the variety of entertainment on offer.
There are playgrounds, trampolines, electric cars, mini golf, boats on the lake, a children's train and a zoo. Children's entertainment at the park is fun and safe. For example, trampolines are flush with the ground or fenced in with a safe net. There are four types of trampolines, including a bouncy castle for toddlers.
Next to the trampolines and driving range is an outdoor cafe where you can get sweets and ice creams, or a more substantial meal if you prefer. As the park is quite large, you can enjoy the beauty of nature by taking a ride on the children's train. There's a small station, real tracks and a big black and red locomotive pulling several carriages. The paths in the park are also ideal for walking and cycling.
Bobolino Kinderwelt, an indoor playground, is 7.6 km away.
A visit to the mini-zoo at the Blue Lake is also recommended. It has been in operation since 1952 and has about a hundred animals of 10 different species. This is a great place to introduce your little ones to animals — and your child will be amazed by the sheer number of impressions.
From March to October, the park hosts a monthly fair where you can buy an unusual souvenir.
