Galaxy Water Park

Galaxy Water Park

Germany, Munich

The GALAXY Centre in Erding (39 km from the centre of Munich) is known as one of the largest indoor water park in Europe, as well as a sauna and steam bath complex. On days when the weather is not so good, or any other day for that matter, the whole family can enjoy fun and relaxation to their heart's content. The four areas of the complex, Aqua Park, Sauna Paradise, Oasis and Thermal Springs, offer space for both relaxing and active pursuits.

Children should definitely start with the water park, which is the most interesting part of the complex. Twenty slides are divided into three levels: family, adventure and extreme. Bright and fun slides for the little ones ensure a safe ride, while some slides are designed for a child to ride with their parents.

The youngest children will enjoy splashing around in the shallow pool and bathing in the fountain. The minimum age for children on the waterslide is 3. Teenagers and adults can go down Europe's longest slide (365m long), plunge down a steep slide (60° incline) or reach the crazy speed of a 19m high slide. You can also choose less extreme but no less fun activities.

The Sauna Paradise area has over 25 different types of baths and saunas. Take a steam bath, soak in the waterfall jets, sunbathe in the solarium or just relax on a sun lounger in the lounge area. Sports fans won't miss out on any major sporting events as the Sky Lounge offers live sports broadcasts. This area is open to those over the age of 16. The hot springs area is under a transparent dome that opens in the summer.

Amongst palm trees and other tropical plants, there are several pools of mineral water with temperatures ranging from 33 to 40°C. Here you can relax, have a massage and undergo spa treatments.

Aviation Museum is located 47 km away. We recommend it for a family visit.

In summer you can splash around in the outdoor pool, which also has two high slides. For those who aren't lazy on holiday, instructors offer aqua aerobics classes. There is also an outdoor beach volleyball court and children's play areas. Entertainment staff work with the children to make sure they have a good time. There is also a bar in each area where you can order drinks. A full lunch or dinner is served in the restaurant in the Oasis area.
