Ferrari Land Port Aventura

Ferrari Land Port Aventura

Spain, Salou

Welcome to Spain, a place that will delight adults and make children the happiest people on the planet!

We are talking about a theme park where each object is dedicated to one idea, namely the history of Ferrari. Furthermore, a walk through the park will provide complete insight into the company's development and immerse them into the atmosphere of speed and adrenaline.

So, Ferrari Land Port Aventura opened its gates to millions of visitors worldwide in the spring 2017 and is ready to offer something that will keep smiles on guests' faces for a long time. It is worth noting that it is a "park within a park" because it is located in the world-famous theme park PortAventura. If you have the time, plan a trip not just for one day. We promise there is enough fun and excitement for everyone.

Park History

Of course, this is just general information about the park, but it's enough to get an idea of the Ferrari Land Park in Spain. The first theme park with the same name, Ferrari World, was built in 2010 in the United Arab Emirates in Abu Dhabi and proved to be such a popular tourist destination that the decision was made to create another one, but in Europe.

Thus came the Ferrari Park in Salou, built for 100,000,000 euros! Now a piece of the Italian spirit can also be found in Spain, and the whole family can have a great time.

Although PortAventura Ferrari Land does not boast a vast area, up to 5,000,000 visitors worldwide are expected each year, and the city authorities are working on expanding it.

Since Ferrari is inextricably linked to Italy, the park itself is stylised to represent different parts of this fascinating country, presenting visitors with copies of the most famous buildings in Rome, Milan and Venice: the Campanile of St Mark's Cathedral in Venice, the Roman Coliseum, the La Scala Theatre, and the home of Enzo Ferrari, the founder of the company.

Ferrari Land's Attractions

The park has restaurants, many cafés, and a Ferrari shop where you can buy branded clothing and souvenirs with the recognisable logo and rides.

The rides at Ferrari Land are a particular theme that deserves special attention as they are not only colourful and eye-catching objects but also a source of unforgettable emotions. Of course, it's best to bring your kids along because even though the attractions are for adults, children will appreciate the grandeur of the park and the rides.

So, what will surprise us about Ferrari Land?

  • A free-fall tower Torre Caida Libre and a bounce-back tower Torre Rebote. Start with the two free-fall towers, each sixty metres high! A slow ascent in special seats lets you enjoy a "bird's eye view" of PortAventura Ferrari Land. Then a swift but controlled descent will not only provide a scream of excitement but also introduce the average visitor to the feeling of free flight. Children and adults 130 cm to 195 cm tall are allowed on the towers.
  • The most famous roller coaster in the Ferrari Park in Spain, called Red Force, is something unreal, combining speed and adrenaline release. It is a vertical accelerator that accelerates tourists to 180 km/h in just 5 seconds to a height of 112 metres! The fantastic thing is that it is hugely popular, yet there is no queue. The capacity is 1200 people per hour! And it's all thanks to the speed.
  • The Maranello Grand Race. It is a 600 metres long race track where you can participate in a family competition to see who is worthy of the top spot.
  • Ferrari Land Gallery. A hall museum that takes you on an interactive journey through the development of the famous brand. Here you will be able to see several models of cars and have a seat in a real Ferrari.
  • The Pole Position Challenge is a Formula 1 simulation that allows you to feel like a professional driver on the fastest tracks. This attraction comes at an extra cost.
  • Racing Legends — a 4D ride that takes the whole family on a virtual journey through different eras in a Ferrari.
  • Junior Championship — a ride for the little ones. The bright red race cars will make young drivers feel like real Schumachers. Kids 120 cm tall are allowed on board unaccompanied.
  • Pit Stop Record. Have you always marvelled at the fast mechanics while watching a race? Then you have a chance to step into the shoes of a professional and become, for a while, a pit stop mechanic.
  • Kid's Podium is a bright and colourful play area with slides, a maze, climbing walls and various interactive play structures.
  • Flying Dreams where dreams of flying become a reality.
  • Flying Race is a ride for the little ones. Let your children pilot the plane on this adventure amongst the clouds flying up and down and as high as they want without stopping.

And, of course, there are plenty of recreational facilities in the park, including a restaurant, a pastry shop where you can sample authentic Italian ice cream, fast food and a Stp&Go snack bar. In the amusement park, street acrobatics and dance shows are held at specific times until mid-September, thanks to which you can learn more about the birthplace of the Scuderia.

Every photo of Ferrari Land with you is a little piece of life you can take as a souvenir of this beautiful place. Welcome to Spain, a 'slice' of Italy in Spanish territory!
