The History Museum of Cambrils or the Museo de la historía del Cambrils is one of those few places where you can learn many exciting things about the city where you spend your holidays with your child in Spain. This cultural and historical institution was opened for mass visits by tourists and residents in 1957. The museum halls exhibit objects of the region's culture and life, as well as interesting historical documents. All this will allow you and your little one to get acquainted with the history of Cambrils in one not very long excursion.
It is worth noting that almost all the attractions in Cambrils are pretty interesting. Still, the local history museum is also very useful as it promotes the intellectual development of a child.
The museum consists of two large sectors:
The first and main one is dedicated to the three eras of the region's development. It is so called: "El Museu Molí de les Tres Eres". This part of the museum shows the city's life in the past centuries through several exciting exhibits. One of them that cannot be overlooked is the hydraulic windmill, which modern craftsmen from ancient drawings have restored.
The second section of the Cambrils History Museum, Museu Agrícola de Cambrils, introduces visitors to the town's agriculture. This part of the institution is housed in an ancient wine cellar. It is also worth mentioning that there are also periodic thematic exhibitions.
For those interested in the Watchtower or the Port Tower, you're in luck, as these architectural structures are administered by the museum, as are the ruins of the Roman settlement of La Llosa. You can also visit the nearby Amphitheatre and the Roman Circus with an admission ticket to the Historical Museum.
