Overview
Where do young girls go to unleash their creativity, discover their inner leaders, and have an absolute blast during the summer? The answer is the Castilleja Summer Day Camp. For over half a century, this day camp has been a summer haven, committed to fostering a diverse environment where girls can expand their understanding of themselves and others.
The camp's ethos echoes the founding principles of the Castilleja School, emphasizing the countless advantages of an all-girl environment. The activities are thoughtfully crafted to stimulate creativity, boost self-confidence, foster cooperation, and dare the girls to take risks. In addition, they cultivate a sense of responsibility and care for the environment, all while ensuring barrels of fun.
The camp offers a smorgasbord of age-appropriate activities, from athletics and arts to science and cooking. There's even a dash of drama and music, keeping the girls engaged and entertained every day. Weekly field trips add an adventurous edge to the whole experience. The camp is tailored to accommodate girls entering grades 2-6, while a special Counselors in Leadership Training Program is available for older girls entering grades 7-9. All of this takes place at the Castilleja School, renowned for its expansive facilities. Whether it's the gymnasium for sports, the art rooms for creative pursuits, the swimming pool for a cool dip, or the chapel stage for performances, the camp has it all. In a nutshell, the Castilleja Summer Day Camp is more than just a summer camp. It's a place where girls can grow, learn, and most importantly, have fun.
