Catalina Island Camps

United States, Altadena

Overview

Every child's dream of an adventurous summer comes alive at the Catalina Island Camps. This long-standing institution, with its roots firmly planted in 1922, offers a summer resident camp for young explorers from grades 2 through 11. But that's not all! It's also the proud home of the Jean-Michel Cousteau Family Camp and the Catalina Environmental Leadership Program, catering to school groups from 4th to 12th grades. The camp, tucked away at Howlands Landing on Catalina Island - a stone's throw from the bustling city of Los Angeles, is a paradise for those who love to get their feet wet. From swimming to wakeboarding and water skiing, there's a splash of fun for everyone. And for those who prefer to keep their adventures on solid ground, there's gardening, composting, outdoor cooking, and even photography. And if that's not enough, daredevils can get their adrenaline pumping with exhilarating activities like ziplining and tubing. The camp also extends its arms to spring and fall retreats, ensuring the spirit of adventure continues throughout the year. As a testament to its commitment to providing a safe and enriching environment, Catalina Island Camps is endorsed by the American Camp Association and a proud member of the Western Association of Independent Camps. This summer, let your child dive headfirst into a world of adventure, learning, and endless fun at Catalina Island Camps. Let the summer stories begin!
