CMC Chess Camp

CMC Chess Camp

United States, Providence

Overview

Let's set the scene. Picture a cluster of children embroiled in the ancient game of chess, the mighty kings, and cunning queens representing life's intricate battles in miniature. The CMC Chess Camp is your ideal destination. Born out of the collaborative effort between established Chess Masters Jorge Sammour-Hasbun, George Sammour, and two parents of chess enthusiasts, Lori DeCesaris and Carolyn Mark, Chess Master Connections (CMC) swept its first pawn across the board in 2008. Over the years, it has helped novice pawns transform into skilled kings and queens. CMC Chess Camp presents a lively platform for young chess enthusiasts to not simply learn the ropes but dive into the riveting history, strategies, and theories that make this game more than just a pastime. It's the gateway to understanding tactics, patience, and intellect, knitted into an engaging competition of wit. CMC Chess Camp isn't about just cornering the opponent's king. It's about fostering a love for the game, encouraging young minds to think critically and enhancing problem-solving skills subtly masked behind the fun. Each move, each game, inculcates in children invaluable life skills that resonate well beyond the checkered board. So, are your children ready to take on the chess world one game at a time, transforming their curious minds into strategic masterminds? Let them embark on a subtly educational adventure at CMC Chess Camp, for a summer experience like none other. But remember, it's not all serious, strategy-laden atmosphere. It's also about fun, laughter, and making lasting memories over delightful games of chess.
