Heart O The Hills Camp

Heart O The Hills Camp

United States, Hunt

Overview

Discover the captivating world of Heart O’ the Hills Camp, a sanctuary of growth and fun where memories are conjured up for girls aged 6-16. Located in the exquisite South Fork of the Guadalupe River, in Hunt, the heartland of the idyllic Texas Hill Country, the camp is an enchanting compilation of spirited activities and virtuous learning. Inaugurated in 1953, the camp continues to uphold eight defining pillars of virtue, steadfastly fostering an environment that encourages the blossoming of character and victory over challenges. It’s not all serious, though! Talk about dancing to a different beat with a list of more than 40 eclectic, fun, and instructional activities, from synchronized swimming to soccer, ceramics to cheerleading, not to mention some magic shenanigans too. Absorb a tradition of etiquette in the heartwarming atmosphere of their family-style meals and nurture friendship in a camp small enough to foster closeness, yet big enough to manifest diversity, for it plays host to campers and counselors from across continents. Experience the allure of residing in fully air-conditioned ‘tepees’, originally a part of the resort inn the camp originally was! Young girls, aided by a counselor, share these renovated hotel rooms, amping up the fun meter while ensuring comfort. With two or four-week sessions under the watchful, caring eyes of role-model counselors, every day at Heart O’ the Hills is a step towards building a strong individual identity. Just get in touch with them for more detailed information and embark on a journey of exploration, growth, and lifelong memories at "The Heart". The Ragsdale family eagerly awaits your children for a summer that promises to be anything but ordinary!
