Horizons Day Camp

Horizons Day Camp

United States, Fairlee

Overview

In the serene sweep of the Upper Valley, where the Connecticut River weaves its way between Vermont and New Hampshire, there lies Horizons Day Camp. A haven of summer delight, it hosts boys and girls hailing from the region as well as those vacationing. Whether basking in the thrill of general sports or honing their paddling skills on gentle canoe rides, the tots and teens savor a fulfilling taste of summer. The highlight, however, is the camp's remarkable array of activities, mirroring the vibrancy of The Aloha Foundation's renowned sleep-away camps. Picture your kids marveling at the wonders of environmental studies, or immersing in the charm of traditional summer pursuits. But the fun doesn't end at sunset. Exhausted yet gleaming with joy, they retire to the comfort of their homes, carrying vivid memories and dreamy smiles. Covering a sprawling 90 acres of river valley land, Horizons sprawls along the peaceful banks of Lake Fairlee. The camp’s fantastic recreational resources playfully tease exploration and adventure. Kayaking from the Horizons waterfront presents an inviting path to the laughter and joy of Hive's younger girls' retreat and Ohana's Family Camp – an incredible voyage awaiting eager little campers. The tale of Horizons dates back to the 1920s, originally as a full-on sleep-away camp fondly remembered by locals as Wyoda. Today, Horizons stands retaining its timeless charm while inviting curiosity, courage, and camaraderie under the merriment of the summer sun. A horizon not merely a threshold of the sky, but that of childhood adventure and joy.
