The Institute for Future Agricultural Leaders (IFAL) is a prestigious week-long residential leadership program designed for rising high school seniors interested in exploring careers in agriculture. Hosted by the North Carolina Farm Bureau in partnership with NC State University, NC A&T State University, and the University of Mount Olive (new in 2025), this program provides students with hands-on experiences, leadership development, and a glimpse into college life. Program Highlights Career Exploration: Participants visit schools of agriculture, tour research farms, and explore university laboratories to learn about cutting-edge technologies and career opportunities in the agricultural industry. Leadership Development: Students engage in workshops focused on citizenship, leadership skills, and public service. They also meet with agricultural leaders and participate in discussions about emerging trends in the field. Civic Engagement: A visit to the General Assembly and the offices of the North Carolina Farm Bureau offers insights into how policies shape agriculture and rural communities. College Experience: Students live in dorms, eat in dining halls, and interact with university faculty and staff, offering an authentic taste of college life. Program Details Dates: June 15–20, 2025 Eligibility: Rising high school seniors with an interest in agriculture or related fields. Cost: Free (thanks to sponsorship by the NC Farm Bureau). Locations: NC State University, NC A&T State University, and University of Mount Olive.   • The trip to the children's camp is paid directly to the organizer of the camp.

  • You can ask for any permits that regulate the work of the camp as well as documents confirming the payment of the package from the organizer of the camp after making the registration or the payment.
