Overview
Ironstone Farm Summer Camp is a haven of therapeutic wonders, using the power of equestrian magic as a catalyst for change. At the heart of the experience is the unspoken bond between human and horse, a relationship that evokes strength, hope, and encouragement. Here, the captivating rhythm of horseback riding is more than just an amusing pastime. It's a transformative journey, a salve for the soul, addressing a wide array of physical, emotional, and cognitive disabilities.
At Ironstone, horses become the gentle guides, leading campers through the enchanting landscape of personal growth and healing. The camp's seasoned staff of over 20 licensed instructors and therapists, along with their troupe of 35 program horses, join forces to serve between 450 and 500 participants each week, all year round.
Participants, hailing from over 90 cities across Massachusetts and New Hampshire, are welcomed into the therapeutic embrace of the farm. Its serene beauty is not just a feast for the eyes, but a balm for the spirit, harmonizing perfectly with the therapeutic riding, recreational riding, and Hippotherapy programs provided in collaboration with other service providers.
Ironstone Farm Summer Camp goes beyond the conventional. It taps into the profound impact of human-animal interaction, channeling the horse’s unique ability to enhance a person's movements, and touch hearts, in a way few other therapies can. As the sun sets over the farm, one thing is clear: Ironstone is more than just a camp; it's a sanctuary of healing, hope, and horse-powered miracles.
