Overview
A symphony of movement, grace, and rhythm, Rocky Mountain Ballet Theatre Summer Camp offers a haven for young dance enthusiasts. Established in 1998 under the careful guidance of accomplished dancer and choreographer Charlene Campbell, the school takes pride in its integrated approach to dance. It doesn't merely teach dance steps; it opens the door to the captivating world of dance, engaging students in a fascinating journey that encompasses perception, research, reflection, and discussion.
The curriculum at Rocky Mountain Ballet Theatre Summer Camp is as diverse as the dance world itself, offering instruction in ballet, pointe, jazz, tap, pre-ballet, and creative movement. It's about more than just training dancers—it's about enhancing analytical skills, nurturing abstract thinking, and fostering problem-solving capabilities. These are skills that go beyond the dance studio, finding relevance in everything from literature analysis to the exploration of physics.
In 2003, the school pirouetted its way to a new location that boasts three large studios, sprung Marley floors, and expansive lobby and dressing areas. This is where young dancers can truly spread their wings, embracing the joy and freedom that comes from expressing themselves through the art of dance.
At Rocky Mountain Ballet Theatre Summer Camp, children discover that dance is more than movement—it's a way of life. So, pack your child's dance shoes and leotards and get ready for a summer filled with leaps, twirls, and a whole lot of fun!
