Overview
At Thousand Pines Christian Camp, history and faith intertwine, creating a haven for young campers. Here, a captivating blend of sports, hiking, and spiritual growth awaits, all nestled in the breathtaking surroundings of Crestline, California.
The camp's centerpiece is the recently renovated Gregory Family Cabin, a log haven built with timber from the camp's own 255-acre forest. The cabin is a salute to Arthur Gregory Sr., the faith-driven man who donated the initial 10 acres to start a Baptist camp here in 1939. Today, the cabin stands as a home away from home, comfortably accommodating up to 25 campers. As campers step off the cabin's front porch, they are greeted by a path leading to Inspiration Point, a spot offering a view so stunning of Lake Gregory, it's bound to spark a sense of awe and wonder. But the experience at Thousand Pines is more than just about soaking in the scenery. The camp offers a diverse array of activities, including basketball, swimming, and general sports. More than a sports camp, Thousand Pines places a strong emphasis on spiritual growth, offering a nurturing, Christian environment for campers. The camp's legacy continues with its recent logging efforts. The camp's employees have breathed new life into 6,000 pines killed by drought and bark beetles, transforming them into lumber to replace the older cabins—a testimony to the camp's commitment to sustainability.
Whether it's the thrill of the basketball court, the serenity of a lakeside hike, or the comfort of shared faith, Thousand Pines Christian Camp offers an enriching, fulfilling experience for every young camper.
