Camp Via West

Camp Via West

United States, Cupertino

Overview

Venturing into the world of adolescence can be a winding road, especially for children grappling with social cognitive challenges. Enter Via West's camp, an oasis that offers an engaging haven for kids from 6th to 12th grade who are navigating their way through the maze of social interactions. With a focus on kids with verbal and nonverbal learning disabilities, ADHD, Asperger’s, and high functioning autism, this camp is a sanctuary where they can unfurl their wings and soar. Via West is not your typical camp. It's a launching pad that propels young minds towards a future filled with confidence, independence, and strong social skills. The camp's main objective? To pave the way for these young adults as they transition into the next exciting chapter of their lives. Here, your child won't be lost in the crowd. With a camper-to-counselor ratio of 3:1, each child gets the attention they deserve. While they may need a nudge in the right direction when it comes to conversations or daily living skills, the camp's supportive environment ensures they're never alone in their journey. At Via West, it's not just about the destination, but the journey. And what a journey it is! It's a blend of fun, learning, and personal growth that sets the stage for a brighter, more confident future. Remember, it's not about fitting into a mold, but breaking free of it. And at Via West, your child will do just that, and more. They'll leave not just with memories, but with skills and confidence that will light their way as they step into the world, ready to make their mark.
