Yes Camp

Yes Camp

United States, Leesville

Overview

Picture this: a summer filled with the rhythm of music, the creativity of arts and crafts, and the energetic thrill of sports like basketball, swimming, and volleyball. Welcome to Youth Extreme Summer Camp (YES Camp), a haven for young adventurers since 1990. Originally rooted on the shores of Lake Ponchartrain's Fontainebleau State Park, YES Camp found strength in adversity. When Hurricane Katrina wreaked havoc on their original site, they simply packed up and moved to Chicot State Park, showing the same resilience they instil in their campers. In 2012, the camp returned to its original home, now boasting a newly built group camp at Fontainebleau State Park. As a non-profit organization, YES Camp thrives on the spirit of giving. In fact, many of the now dedicated volunteer staff were once campers themselves, testament to the camp's lasting impact. With the capacity to welcome nearly 200 campers each summer, YES Camp is a buzzing hive of youthful joy and learning. Don't let the cost deter you. The camp's operations are funded through corporate grants, donations, sponsorships, and registration fees. So, you can be sure that every penny spent is channeled into creating a summer experience your child will treasure. In a nutshell, YES Camp is not just a summer getaway; it's a place where memories are made, skills are honed, and friendships are forged. So, why not say 'Yes' to YES Camp this summer?
