Although the Hotel Dorint and Messe Koln is close to the exhibition centre and is often popular with business travellers, it can also be recommended to families with children who decide to spend a few days in Cologne.
The train station and the Cathedral are a 15-20 minute walk across the bridge or a one-stop train ride away. Trams no. 3 and 4 (Deutsche Kölnmesse) stop just outside the hotel and there is an underground station within walking distance. In short, the sights of Cologne and the Old Town are easily reached by public transport or a short walk.
Meals at the hotel are always varied and delicious. It's not difficult to find a suitable meal for children. A children's menu is available for an extra charge. The hotel has a spa where the indoor pool is a great place for the whole family to enjoy.
The rooms are clean and reasonably spacious. For families with children, we recommend the Deluxe Rooms or the Maisonette, which has a living room and bedroom. If you are travelling with a baby, baby cots, baby monitors, bottle warmers, baby bed linen and safety outlet covers can be provided on request. Directions
From Cologne/Bonn Airport you can take the S13 train (direction Horrem). Get off at "Kolnmesse Deutz" station, then cross Barmer Platz. The hotel is close to the Lufthansa offices. The distance to the airport is only 14 km.
